My daughter and I were talking with a friend of her's about what life was like being little girls for them. My child had nothing but fond memories she shared then I busted out laughing.. A memory I'd forgotten all about flashed back and here it is..Her first day of kindergarten she begged and pleaded tobe allowed to ridethe "Big kid's school bus" home from school. It was dubbed the big kids school bus because the high school and elementary literally shared the same bus in the small town we lived in. I figured ok, what could it hurt and I gave in... I sat waiting in my truck at the bus stop watching for her and her older brother to get off the bus. Sure enough they came bounding out full of smiles and of course the littlest one is beaming with pride at her riding with the big kids. Before I could even ask how was your day she blurts out a question and statement that floored me. "Mom is it true girls have cocks and if it is can you show me where mine is?" I said the only thing I could say when asked such a thing by a 5yr old child....sure I guess some girls have pet cocks but most people dont call them that they call them roosters. We dont have any roosters because the dogs would eat them.
