I haven't heard for sure but I have heard rumours that Vanguard may be PS3 bound being that it is a SOE product and Sony needs sales of the system. Has this been confirmed, denied, .etc?

Although possible I wouldnt count on it.

MMO's so far, have not done that well on a console system.

Though it would allow the developers to optimize the game for a single system and the 60G Hard drive would be more than enough to handle all the patches.
And in the long run it would be cheaper for most people with old pc's to just buy a PS3 to play vanguard then to upgrade (depending on the amount of upgrading needed).

That's what I was thinking it may be the cheapest way to play it at optimum settings. Plus MMORPG control schemes aren't that bad on consoles...

It might be something later on that they do, however at this time I doubt it. There is too much to the game, not to mention how huge the world, gameplay and extensive the characters are.

There are rumors of it going to console, but I think that is all it is.. rumors. Of course, Sony is the one the one that has published the game, but they do not hold the IP title for it. That belongs 100% in the hands and ownership of Sigil. So in the end, if it does go to console, then that will be up to Sigil, not Sony.

It's not too extensive for the PS3, maybe other consoles but not the PS3. Blu-Ray can handle the size of the game especially if they code it with BD-Live(which is where you can record stuff onto the blu-ray disk instead of the HDD itself). It may be Sigil's decision but if Sony is the publisher Sigil may have no choice...
