I am still here and still love this game. I have LOtM and I have enjoyed it. Some great rvr in the lab. The reason people finally leave a game they love is that they don't have anyone to share it with. It gets boring playing alone no matter how much you love the game. Then also as time goes by the game loses things, like the rp is pretty much gone now. I dont mean rp as in making up little stories and telling them in guild, alliance or at the pub, I mean rp as in living your character as if they are real and all there is. I actually hate I ever told anyone my rl name or any personal info in this game. I have added to my own saddnes in doing so. I used to live for the rp and getting lost in a fantasy world. I could care less how your day was at work or what your real name was or your age, sex or religion. I like to take each character i meet at face value and not try to tie it to another one (figure out if I knew the person behind the toon as another toon.) I really hate I have lost that but there is still fun left in the game. Also once you know your realm the mystery is gone from discovery of the unknown. BY that time you need a good friend base to continue to play and have fun.
I do suppose not everyone just LOVES this game lol although I just can't imagine that.
Males tend to really like pvp. I hate it, but daoc at least made the rvr system less personal in a way I could enjoy it. Example: in a pvp game they taunt you, kill you and laugh at you all in a language you CAN understand lol. Daoc took the humiliation out of it.
In other words as time goes by the game loses things, you quit when the losses overcome the fun you have playing it. For me that has not happened yet, but getting closer all the time. til then hope to see you in daoc and if there is anything I can do for you just ask.
