Hi there. I logged into my scout this morning and realized that the new patch has me respec him as well. While I am glad because I wanted to change my spec anyway, I am not sure what to spec it to because I don't know the effect.
I read on the herald the patch notes and the only thing they say is that they redid the melee skill lines to make them more inline with styles. They did not mention that the entire Longbow skill spec window is gone, so I don't really have an idea as to how far I need to train in it. Do I still get penetrating arrow and critical strike? And there is not a Shield skill line either. So when do I get slam and all that?
If anyone knows where there would be a new version of Characterbuilder or some other website that accommodates for these changes, please let me know. I was looking forward to playing my scout, but now I can't because I don't know what to make my spec.

I am going to have to take a look later on when I get in game and see. I have not yet gotten on Arrene, since my time has been mostly paying rents, making stuff, trinketing and the power level requests.
I will try to get on today and see what changes are. As far as a char builder there is nothing out just yet. I did check the herald for you, and so far they do not have the changes listed either. I am sure that one will be coming soon, but since they are all done (minus the herald) by players, we have to wait for them to make note of all the changes, stats, etc.

The whole reason for the forced respec was so that (and this is for all auto training toons) is that everyone now has all the points as if they had all been auto training in thier various skills.

Thanks Sara for checking into it. I will continue to keep an eye out on the Character builder forum and elsewhere to see if anyone posts.
And Praykor, I did read that part as well. My concern is that when I was adding to my Bow skills, I was not seeing the old progressions, like Critical shot, etc. It just said I spent points in bow. I just didn't want to put too much into this and it be a waste of points. Also, knowing the bow skills changed, I didn't want to put points into another line and not receive the expected skills because they changed that line too. I will just wait for someone else to do it and make a post on how they like their new scout.

Aye, i know what you mean. It realy was not a great change.. so may have to wait for that scout love.. if it ever comes down the line.
Since I did auto train all my toons, I myself do not see any real difference here, though did notice what you were talking about though. Ah well, guess we shall just have to see what comes down the line eh?
I have been playing mostly my little toons and the friar the last few weeks, so was not sure what was going on with the scout. I must say though it could have been worse. :P
